I woke up early Friday morning had to make myself a cup of tea didn’t need to get dressed as I didn’t get undressed, so had a wash and crept outside the hospital for the inevitable couple of roll-ups before most of the other patients had even stirred.
On my return I was given what they call breakfast, a couple of slices of toast with a smidgen of jam, however after yesterday it was satisfactory, my consultant popped round to check me and returned my carrier bag full of a thingytail of drugs which I needed to take before I was discharged to go across the corridor to the ward opposite to continue my course of dripped poison.
I wandered across about 10.30am and actually found a more comfortable chair settled down and continued dripping.
I finished about 1.30pm after more harassment of nurses to speed up the process, however after waiting for transport to get me home, I got home about 3.00pm, I decided to let arrangements continue for another good mother to pick Neve up from school, just in case I was to suffer another episode although I was feeling much better than I did yesterday except for still feeling very tired.
I spoke to Neve on the phone and it was arranged for her to come home about 7.00pm providing all went well, which it did and she did and we spent the next couple of hours having a cuddle. Neve had been fed and I was not very hungry so just had a sandwich, still very tired so retired to bed soon after Neve about 10.00pm which is early for me as I don’t normally need a lot of sleep, usual bedtime around midnight to 1.00am arising again at 6.00am.
