The politicians wonder why there is no national pride left in this country but it is hardly surprising when to view English sport i.e. cricket or football on terrestrial television is impossible, how long will it be before Wimbledon is the same? I have great regard for Sky and the services they provide, however they are denying the likes of the majority of the older generation in this country, most of whom just hope the sky will be blue, let alone being able to afford the basic package on a pension or the extra cost for the sports channel and with the economic pressure of these days, unemployed and employed are not able to extend to these services. It is time this matter was addressed I don’t think it would hurt Sky who monopolise the channels to help with this change along with intervention from the government, surely revenue from advertising must be considerably raised for appearing in these time frames they would certainly have a major increase in coverage if it was made more available, maybe a special package should be created for pensioners and people on low incomes, what do you think?
